  • Choosing life over abortion—this speaker will share her story of facing an unexpected pregnancy interfering with her career and life plans. Thanks to the unconditional support from a local pregnancy center, she and her husband chose life for their unborn child. As a result she discovered a way to advance her career and help other women to choose life too.
  • Growing up in foster care—our speaker will share her experience of growing up in the foster care system in LA, living in over a dozen foster homes, and facing great obstacles as a result. Thanks to the great work of a local organization and some kind-hearted families, she received mentoring that showed her great possibility. She is now in college and promoting programs to connect foster kids with mentor adults and families.
  • Being rescued from human trafficking—our speaker immigrated from the Philippines on the promise of a better life in the United States. Instead she was enslaved at a center for the elderly in Long Beach, forced to work long hours without rest or food. She was rescued by a vigilant neighbor and now works for an aid organization and advocates for victims’ assistance.
  • Living with a terminal diagnosis—this speaker will share her story of being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at the age of three. She never gave up hope or wished to shorten her life, even when in extreme discomfort, because of her faith in God’s plan for her. Now 12, she keeps her sunny disposition, grounded firmly in the knowledge that she has been created for a reason.
