With over 17 years of experience in radio broadcasting, the Mexican-American, Burbank- native, Marcela Luevanos has held some of the most important positions in Los Angeles Radio and on a national level while working with some of the most prominent Morning Radio Personalities. Her beginning as a solo radio personality on KSCA LA Nueva 101.9 FM radio station has led to many great collaborations, such as co-hosting with Eddie Piolin Sotelo on El Show de Piolin on Sirius XM, Satellite Radio. Marcela hosted morning’s on La Poderosa on the digital platform, DashRadio. She held the #1 spot on the Dash Platform with over 500k weekly listeners since its launch.
Most recently, Marcela joined El Dorado Broadcasters, hosting middays La X 103.1, the first local Regional Mexican Format radio station in the High Desert covering Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley to Barstow.
Giving back to her community is dear to Marcela’s heart. She supports various events as a Brand Ambassador for Los Angeles Times, Unidos por la Musica, The Archdiocese of Los Angeles and Amanecer to name a few. Being a survivor of Route 91, the biggest mass shooting on American soil, she has also become an advocate for mental health.
Marcela has been actively participating in mentoring students, toy drives, radio-thons, special city campaigns, and speaking at leadership and empowerment events throughout Los Angeles. Continuing her passion and ability to connect with her listeners through the airwaves, Marcela launched her podcast earlier this year, “Y así las cosas, con Marcela Luevanos” available on platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Play and Stitcher.
Family is a priority for Marcela, keeping up with her 6 and 9 year-old boys, Marcela is highly involved in their scholastic and extracurricular activities including baseball, swimming and volunteers at their school events.
