Last year was my third OneLife LA. Not only was I walking in support of the life of every human person. This time, I walked with my teen daughter and the experience was even more gratifying and exciting! At the early age of 16, I chose life for my daughter despite challenging circumstances. At OneLife, my daughter was able to witness how our story is unique and inspiring for others.
On January 22nd, 2016, I participated and presented before a crowd of tens of thousands at OneLife LA. Our students were there in the front row cheering us on. It was very, very exhilarating and encouraging as we felt the power of Love rippling through the crowd. This is our philosophy at Mama Hill’s Help. We embrace the children, we love them, we make them feel important; we make them feel that they are worthy and deserve to live. That is the reward in itself. Every life counts; every child is precious to God. May God help us to save the children One Life at a time.

Our family had a great experience at OneLife’s first gathering almost five years ago, and are looking forward to being back in 2019 to promote the beauty and dignity of every human life. We are excited to share an update on our story, and talk about how our non-profit, Hope Story, provides hope and encouragement to families whose child has just received a Down syndrome diagnosis. Through our work with Hope Story we hope to see thousands of children be brought to full term who otherwise may be aborted. We can’t wait to share more with you about this exciting ministry!

For years the church has led the way in defending the unborn and being a champion of the family! At OneLife LA it was so exciting to see the church bring awareness to the needs of at-risk children in foster care, who were given the gift of life, but are desperately in need of safe, loving homes. So many amazing organizations were present, inspiring so many families to get involved, and take the next steps to help address the foster care crisis in our city!

OneLife LA is powerful. I have always been pro-life. I have always believed in the innate dignity of the human person. yet once a year, this fun gathering of inspiration and community manages to stir up in me a greater passion for life.

This is the prolife generation. This is what we need to be doing in Los Angeles. And we're the biggest archdiocese in the nation so this is a great representation of what's going on in our modern world. This is exactly what our teenagers and everyone needs to be involved in!

To have an event like OneLife LA in the City of Angels is a prayer answered. The ability to join and pray with thousands of others who believe that God-given life is valuable at every stage was awe-inspiring. It’s my hope that the seeds planted at OneLife LA can continue to bear much fruit in the lives both both and unborn.
