On January 21, 2017, tens of thousands will gather in Exposition Park in front of the historic LA Coliseum for the third annual OneLife LA. Our theme is “Choose Love”, and never has our country and our community needed the healing power of love more than now!
In the words of Jamie Grace, our Grammy-nominated performer, OneLife LA is about “loving, serving and giving” every chance we get! OneLife LA is not just a one-day celebration. It is a movement, a catalyst for doing good in our community every day of the year to show, through our actions, that we value the life of every person we see and vow to help those in greatest need.
This year OneLife LA is taking on its biggest challenge yet. With “Choose Love” as our guide, YOU are invited to take part in breaking the world record for the largest heart formation! But that means we need you to bring everyone you know that loves life to be part of this historic achievement. The world record currently stands at 11,166 people. We can beat that no problem!
Last year’s OneLife LA drew more than 20,000 people from throughout Southern California and involved over 2,000 people in community service at the event.
Help us show the world that the healing power of choosing love begins by protecting the right to life and serving those in need! Join us at OneLife LA this Saturday to be part of the world’s largest heart — radiating good works through our commitment to life, beginning in our own families!
Doors open at 12 noon at Exposition Park. Event begins at 12:30 with a rally and world-record-breaking gathering followed by our family-friendly festival offering a great line-up of live music, food trucks, and inspirational testimonies from celebrities and local heroes. Our speakers include Patricia Heaton, Karyme Lozano, Rosie Rivera, death row exoneree Kirk Bloodsworth, and genocide survivor Immaculee Ilibagiza as well as performances from Chris Duffley, Jamie Grace, and the 100 person West Angeles Mass Choir.
OneLife LA also partners with 14 Southern California community service and outreach organizations to inspire positive action in our participants. These organizations provide life-affirming support to pregnant women, assist the homeless, trafficking survivors, the elderly, the disabled and the dying, and help foster children find adoptive families. Our partners this year include 40 Days for Life, Olivecrest, the American Red Cross, The Dream Center, App for Life, Family Promise, Obria Medical Clinics, Merciful Companions, A21, Covenant House, Saving Innocence and more.
